I got an email through today from HMV Japan saying some of Jaggers solo albums where being re issued on vinyl in November by Universal , titles included She’s The Boss, Primitive Cool, Wondering Spirt And Goddess InThe Doorway.

Wouldn’t mind some of these as Goddess In The Doorway fetches high prices now, might be out of print. Interesting to keep an eye out.

    Off-topic, sorry...
I remember Rolling Stone giving ' Goddess in the Doorway ' an ecstatic five-star review.
I like it well enough but really?

Personally, I would say, "Yeah, really." I think it presents a really strong and cohesive song cycle that features well crafted compositions, superb musicianship and, above all, sterling vocal performances by Mick. Two thumbs up from me!

I really liked the first. I loved a few on the second. Wandering Spirit is his best.

Always meant tp get "Wandering Spirit". I remember it getting a fair amount of radio play at the time.

I have no issues with it being a five-star album. I'd rate it a four and a half.

Wandering Spirit would be a definite for me. I only have the first two on vinyl.

Who the hell is going to buy a full price vinyl reissue of She's The Boss?!

Goddess makes sense though. I haven't heard it but I saw a TV documentary about it at the time and thought it sounded good. I can imagine Wandering Spirit is rare on vinyl too.

The idea of more copies of Let's Work being pressed up is horrible though!

Was there a full page ad for the CD in the same issue?

He does have non-album singles that I don't believe have ever been released on CD, e.g., " I'm Ringing" and a personal favorite, "Catch As Catch Can".

I'm in your camp. I find the Jagger albums ok but just ok. I never feel like listening to them. Same with Richards' albums. As for Charlie's albums, I' ve never even seen one.
But!I seem to recall liking Wyman's 'Monkey Grip ' long ago...

I love The Beatles and Rolling Stones, but don't understand why out of the entire history of recorded music, anyone would want to spend money and time on 80s Mick Jagger and Ringo Starr albums nowadays.

I'm Generation X, I was fourteen when Nevermind was released.
So I can take the negativity. Make all the comments you want, but solo Mick Jagger had lots of good songs.

"Catch As Catch Can" sounds like an AFTERMATH-era tune, like something Jagger might have given to Chris Farlowe.
