I'm crushed. I'm rewatching Babylon 5 now (S3 War Without End Part II) I am Grey. I stand between the candle and the star. We are Grey. We stand between the darkness and the light. In Valen's name - RIP
I just started going through some letterboxed episodes I recorded years ago on Sci Fi..That show has lost a lot of people
Really sad. I've only seen the first season of Babylon 5 (watched it a few times), and she was my favorite character.
I enjoyed her work and thought she looked pretty foxy in Babylon 5 (both incarnations). Had something about her...
Yeah, she did. For as weird a looking an alien as she was playing, she somehow made the character very appealing. Inner beauty.
Damn. She was a terrific actress. She MADE B5 so effective IMHO and raised the act(ng bar on the show.
What a shame, just saw this on Claudia Christian's feed. I rewatched B5 about 3 years ago, and her performance was just stellar.
Mira Furlan joins Jerry Doyle, Andreas Katsulas, Richard Biggs, Stephen Furst, Michael O'Hare, and Jeff Conaway on whatever stage (if any) follows this one. Yes, Babylon 5 has been hit hard as far as losing cast members to the great beyond. And many of them died too soon.
It’s very sad to lose Mira Furlan so young. I haven’t watched Lost, but she brought a massive weight, authority and watchability to the character of Delenn in Babylon 5 that was fundamental to the success of the show. If you enjoyed Season One of Babylon 5 then it might be well worth your while to check out the remaining four seasons. If you found Season One a bit slow slow (as I did), then Season 2 certainly fixes that. Season Two, with the arrival of Captain John Sheridan, is where it starts to take off big time. Bruce Boxleitner brings an enjoyable dynamism to his role, and the rest of the characters have already been established, meaning that the scene is set for the main storyline to roll on in an exciting and un-put-down-able style.
I'm saddened to hear of this news. Babylon 5 was stylish and Mira Furlan did some very good work on the show. Once the character of John Sheridan was introduced, that show had one of the best casts ever assembled.
