A friend bought her husband an MMF-5 turntable & asked me to help set it up. Do I need anything more than a shure stylus guage & a DB protractor? Does the MMF-5 have vta adjustability? (I've never done that before-only recent setup experience is with a rega 3 & systemdek 11x). Any other suggestions/hints? Thanks in advance.

    John.

I used to have one. When I bought it, the guy at the store offered to set it up. He can always try the same thing.

The VTA is factory set on the MMF-5 but it is adjustable, an Allan wrench is provided with the MMF-5. Your Shure stylus gauge and your DB protractor, is probably going to be all you need. A good test record would also be recommended.
