One of my top 5 best sounding records is the Bill Evans lost sessions from the last RSD. Really outstanding. Anyone have an Abraxas they'd be willing to sell for a not too crazy price?

Be patient. There are some here who may get past the novelty, who aren't married to this particular album.
Just finished my second spin of it. This time without interlacing the 1st issue to compare, clamped, and at volume. WOW!!! The highs do not deteriorate, even when approaching skull piecing levels.....oh and when this puppy hits, it just plain slams!!!! Maybe too early for me to say definitive.....but dang if I ain't thinking it!!!
Maybe put a post in the WTB thread? Trying to assure them you are not a flipper? That thread is sorta' in the back waters, but worth a shot.
And now three on Discogs (one added from this morn) $330 - $700. https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/9162101?ev=rb
Audio Beat's review: Santana - Abraxas - The Audio Beat - www.TheAudioBeat.com » Audio Beat's CES announcement: Mobile Fidelity One-Step - The Audio Beat - www.TheAudioBeat.com » MoFi's test pressings/stampers at CES:
Again, that astonishing dynamic range which the reviewer writes about is there with the ARS. That's one of the reasons why that pressing is so highly touted. It's too bad he didn't have it as part of the comparison. Regarding the next one in the series, the collectors and flippers will still have their day, the rest of the buyers may be somewhat different.
"Mobile Fidelity will announce a number of copies for each title, 2500 for Abraxas, but that will be determined by the condition of the stampers and not be fixed." Ok...
Seems like nothing is strictly limited after all (unless the author of the review has no credibility). Also seems like the "limited" (or whatever) number of copies will or can be set differently for each album. I still interpret MFSL wording as "no box 2501" will exist... but now I think I might be wrong on that?
Wonder if any (and if there are any) pressings over 2500 will be used to 'fill in' boxes that were returned?
