Fragile isn't yer typical audiophile label "warhorse" title so I'm looking forward to this one getting 1-stepped.

It’s been done by Analogue Productions on vinyl and MFSL on CD previously.

Sure, two releases, but that doesn't really come close to other perennial audiophile label titles that have already been seemingly done to death.

The Analogue Productions pressings is probably considered a contender for the best audio released on that title. It does sound spectacular. Similarly, Santana's Abraxas also had it's spectacular contenders for best audio. Most on this thread believed that the MFSL One-Step would not better them and at best be comparable. In hindsight, the Santana MFSL One-Step blew them all out of the water and set the standard for future One-Step expectations. If I have learned one thing about MFSL - it is to never under estimate what they can accomplish. The best mastering of Fragile has yet to be heard.

The limited mono release on that title will rival the Santana One-Step for highest resale price on the secondary market.

I need another copy of Fragile like I need a hole in the head. The recent Steven Wilson remaster of this title is mind blowing. You can hear things that you never heard before, guaranteed. I also have another audiophile pressings of it from the early 2000’s -also amazing. But, being a completist, I’ll be in line for a One Step copy.

Not that many titles have been done more than a few times on “audiophile” labels.

If you add in the Blu-ray special edition and the Japanese SACD and the Rhino vinyl and the DVD-A and the other gold CD, Fragile has been pretty well covered on the “audiophile” front.

Fragile, like many album titles, have been reissued many times over, in many territories, over the years, but Fragile hasn't been a title that has been a perennial rehash for many of the well-known audiophile labels, that's for sure (and why do you insist on putting the world audiophile in quotation marks?)

Woah, I forgot about this. I pre-ordered last December as well. What's the status? I think I may even need to update my cc info on the order.

Because the word “audiophile” gets tossed around as though it means something and I don’t think it matters one iota if it was licensed to a so-called “audiophile” label or whether Atlantic did the so-called “audiophile” releases. Bottom line is Fragile is not an underserved release.

    It’s a Christmas miracle.
If by any 0.0001% chance any of you see Nightfly back on there, I, well, ‘beg’ is such a strong word but anyway please please please PM me. I went through two that were shipped damaged at the end of their run, so I’ve heard its potential but am empty handed. Thanks.

    Here's a neat trick.

Go to MoFi site and select the "One-Step" item you are interested in and place a large number in QTY box(I put 5,000) and hit recalculate and it will reveal how much MoFi have in stock.

This is the result from 15 minutes ago:
