Sure, they don't go out in exact numerical order, but if you keep track of the postings here you will see that the higher numbers come at a later time. Not an exact science but a good indicator.
Keep in mind that they may or may not press all 7500 or whatever is the number. That number is a maximum license.
I think in the long run they will press all 7500. The Yes title is too good not to sell out eventually.
That is possible. They are hand numbered, though. And...are they not sealed at the pressing plant? They would have to have all 7500 boxes numbered and ready to go at the plant.
Unfortunately, not anymore. I've been looking for this one for a while due to missing out on the One Step, and I haven't seen it under $80. I think, selfishly, they should repress all the pre-Super Vinyl titles on Super Vinyl.
Yeah, I think they send the higher numbers to other retailers and keep the low(er) for their own stock. Makes it hard to judge the remaining number of copies by numbers alone.
The guy (yup, one man show) in Japan is not accepting new clients. He is the only place in the world now that can provide the service. If MFSL was using Apollo, which makes a whole lot of sense, that’s the end of the road unless they can get access to the up to six month supply of lacquers, if that even exists. This is a very serious issue for vinyl lovers. Can’t believe another facility wasn’t built!
Seems there are still direct metal mastering (DMM) facilities around. But that could be problematic for a company such as MoFi that does not have DMM cutting equipment in house.
Hello, I ordered Mobile Fidelity Ultradisc One-Step pressing of Thelonious Monk Quartet - Monk's Dream from Target. It arrived within a United Record Pressing plant shipment box. Anyone else have this happen? Mobile Fidelity records website touts RTI pressed. Contacting MoFi resulted in - "Please reach out to target regarding your question. We do not sell direct to Target and do not know where they source their copies"
Doesn't Target, like Best Buy, sell outside vendor products? I don't know for sure. But it's possible that if that's the case, then the seller put it inside a United Record Pressing plant box for shipment. Does the return label state that it actually came from United Record Pressing?
Quite interesting. I'd wager that it came that way from whatever distributor they are acquiring these from. How is your pressing? I love that release
I guess it could be a distributor box that was re-used.. its got a big yellow sticker on the side with bar codes, Monk Thelo-Monk's DR and URP #'s..along with a large United Pressing Records logo . MoFi's response didn't address the fact that i was questioning whether it was pressed at RTI or United. The return address on label is Target Return Center, Indianapolis. Strange.
