I hope this one sells well for them, might make them think outside the box more often.

I believe that is a low side estimate for prices a year from now.

Has anyone who placed an order gotten a shipping notice yet? I have not.

I just got an email from Music Direct indicating a package shipped, but it didn't say what it was. Logged into the site and matched the tracking # to one showing on my last order. Looks like the Run DMC SACD is on the way.

Yep. My SACD pre-order is marked as “shippable.” Excellent.

I also ordered the 45 rpm. Do I need both? No. But I’m hoping sales convince MFSL to take on more hip-hop.

FEDEX delivered my copy this afternoon. It is #175. Can't wait to listen in the morning. Mastered by Rob Loverde, assisted by Shawn Britton

Sounds really great. I'm not much help because I have nothing else to compare it to, but I'm very happy with it.

I don’t doubt it sounds good or great. I just want to know if people find it much of an improvement over the previous release(s).

    Thanks!

Can you upload a 60 second sample of any track?

Got my SACD today (#000065). The sound is fantastic; way better than the 2005 Sony remaster. Brings me back to the day! Kudos to MFSL for stepping out of their usual comfort zone and releasing this absolute classic.

I got my SACD today and it sounds phenomenal. My disc does not have a number on it so I have arranged to exchange it with one that does have a number on it.

So far this disc is just stunning. Great sonics and a lot of fun.

Awesome to hear about the SACD sound! Now we wait for the 45...not the kind of music I would spend much time with, but have to have this classic in my collection, especially done this way.

I couldn't agree more! Here's hoping we get more Run-DMC on MFSL SACD!

So the expected ship date on the 45 RPM got pushed again. First it was 9/11 then 10/16 now:
“This title will be released on December 4, 2020.”
Are the MFSL catalog numbers usually released in sequential order? Because Johnny Cash MoFi is 495 and is out and the Run DMC is 494 and still waiting.

Theyre released when theyre released. Flip a coin and youll have just as much luck figuring it out. Im sure there are many many reasons why mfsl is continually delayed but we will never know. We simply wait at the Great Audiophile Alter ...ohmmmm ohmmmm ohmmmm...dire straits...ohmmmmm...ohmmmmm..oh mercy represss....ohmmmmm...ohmmmm...gold cd gods....ohhhmmmmm ohhhhmmmmmm...

Music Direct doesn’t give release dates. Amazon release dates for Mofi don’t mean anything, it’s just a guess
