From Mojo magazine, issue 302 ('January 2019'). Interesting to compare with the Uncut list of archive releases (see links below). The Kinks are #14 on both lists. Teenage Fanclub's Bandwagonesque ranks #7 on both lists. ••• Mojo's 2018 polls: New albums: Mojo’s best albums of 2018 - numbers 50–26 New albums: Mojo’s best albums of 2018 - numbers 25–01 Reissues: Mojo's 20 best reissues of 2018 Mojo's 2017 polls: New albums: Mojo’s best albums of 2017 - numbers 50–26: New albums: Mojo’s best albums of 2017 - numbers 25–1: Reissues: Mojo’s 20 best reissues of 2017 Mojo's 2016 list: New albums: 2016's best albums - according to Mojo magazine ••• Uncut's 2018 lists: New albums: 2018's best albums - according to Uncut magazine (50–26) New albums: 2018's best albums - according to Uncut magazine (25–1) Archive albums: 2018's best ARCHIVE releases - according to Uncut magazine Uncut's 2017 list: Archive albums: 2017's best ARCHIVE releases - according to Uncut magazine Uncut's 2016 lists: New albums: 2016's best albums - according to Uncut magazine Archive albums: 2016's best ARCHIVE releases - according to Uncut magazine
My favorites are The Beatles' White Album anniversary box set and (which is not on the list) Paul McCartney & Wings - Red Rose Speedway (Archive Collection, Super Deluxe Edition).
I voted for, Various – When the Day Is Done: The Orchestrations of Robert Kirby. It was the only one I bought. I love that English, autumnal, 60s/70s sound.
