I've been curious about this 3 disc compilation (The Monkees: Here We Come---The Ultimate Anthology put out by Readers Digest Music) for a while, but can't seem to find any information specifically addressing source material.

It would seem logical that the sources used would be clones of any multitude of masterings------Rhino's 'Music Box,' 'Listen to the Band,' individual CD releases, Arista CDs, etc.
Can anyone who has this comment?
    Thanks!

Of course, I have most of these tracks 4 or 5 times over. But I'm a sucker for multi-disc Monkees collections in fatboy jewel cases! And with 60 tracks, this one has a superlative selection.

Just saw that someone started a thread on this in 2010. Thread is closed now and it never received a single response.

Did everyone pass on this compilation?

An interesting thing about this compilation is that the last 9 songs on disc 3 are all Nesmith vocals.

Yes. That's why I'm curious about the mastering. I've seen it on ebay anywhere from 25 to 50 bucks.

Any Monkees comp with some '80s stinkeroos on it gets a thumbs down from me.

Anything other than 'Heart and Soul' would be fine with me. I'd rather have 'The Day We Fall in Love' on there.
    Well.....maybe not.

Heart and Soul is an awesome song. It deserves to be on a Monkee comp.
That was Then... isn’t bad either.

Tune out the corny narration and focus on the backing track. It's kinda cool.

Either a lot of Monkees fanatics aren't on the forum this weekend, or nobody has this set.
    Anybody?

I don't have the set, and the Monkees Mixography is now a member-only site, but I looked up a 2015 capture on the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.

Most of the mixes are standard stereo LP mixes, with these exceptions:

(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone - Mono single mix
A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You - Listed as "1987 mono mix," which might be a typo for 1967
The Girl I Knew Somewhere - 1987 stereo mix
Pleasant Valley Sunday - Mono mix
Valleri - 1968 stereo mix, unfaded
Tapioca Tundra - 1968 alternate stereo mix
Porpoise Song - 1968 stereo mix with clean intro & coda
Listen to the Band - 1991 stereo remix [presumably from Rhino's LITB box set]
Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow) - 2001 stereo mix
I'll Be Back Up On My Feet - mono TV version
She Hangs Out - 1967 mono mix [not specified whether it's the aborted single version or the PAC&J remake]
Don't Wait For Me - 1994 stereo mix

Thank you for the info, SJB.
Great to see the TV version of 'I'll Be Back Upon My Feet' included in this set, plus those few mono mixes. Looks like a nice collection!

Came on this doing a search. I just received this. Listening to it now. Tried various comps such as Monkeemania, the 2011 very best of comp. This tops it!! That was too bright! In fact, this outdoes Anthology. Circle Sky is the superior live version that was on Anthology. And this has both sides of the DW Washburn single, and Tapioca Tundra which Anthology skipped!!

All of Your Toys is missing but I have that on the Listen To The Band box set!!
