I'd see 'em again. The Mike and Mickey Show was pretty enjoyable.

Surprised Nez is going for another round. Be nice if it were to promote a duo album. Either way it's awesome. They're like the Energizer bunny.

    What's the source of this?

Nothing on their website or social media.

I am wondering about this too. There’s more in the Barrel of Monkees thread here... Something about it on a Facebook (Even just typing that word makes my skin crawl) page? While I want to get excited, I’d say it’s more “cautious optimism” at this point.

Of course, even if it happens, my area will likely get skipped. Again.

This is certainly really good news. The Mike and Micky Show was, by far, the best musical presentation staged by The Monkees. I've seen them at least a dozen times since the 1980's - in so many configurations. Other shows may have been more joyful and exuberant- but this iteration is deeply satisfying musically.

I hope this go round is to promote a studio album, or a new live release from the last tour.

    Dr. Pepper What, me worry?

I'm still waiting for Paul and Ringo to join them for a Monbeats or a Beatkees tour!

This puts them in the South during the New Orleans Jazzfest. Highly unlikely, but who the hell knows?

Is this going to be followed up with Paul & Ringo touring as the Beatles?

Good on them! I hope it's a good show. It's great that Nes is up for it. I'd rather this than no Monkees at all.

I’m convinced. Nashvillesymphony.org has it on its site as well.

These US tours usually hit the NY/NJ area, so there should be one again.

I thought they'd finally be done after the Australia shows earlier this year, although Nez did say at the time that he'd "never say never." This news makes my heart happy if true. Absolutely I would go!

I used to have Elephant Parts on laserdisk. I discovered a few years ago that you could see pretty much all of it on youtube. Interestingly, they seem to be actively and aggressively scrubbing it off youtube of late.

To this day, it's some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen.

Edit: I was wrong. It's on youtube again with a vengeance.

I'm rediscovering stuff from the past that, at the time, I didn't like for one cultural reason or another and, with my 65 year old sensibilities, find was really good stuff.

The three at the top of the list are:

    Herb alpert and the TJB
    Monkees
    ABBA

I saw a live show with Herb Alpert last year in a 750-seat theater. It was superb. Worth seeking out if he still tours. My ticket was only $20 in the balcony!
