I wonder if "fully restored 'Flying Circus'" means excised bits like the "Jesus crucified on a telephone pole" image and "Party Political Broadcast (Choreographed)" will be put back where they originally were in the episodes. I doubt it, but one can hope.

On the actual anniversary day, 5th October, the first official Monty Python Guinness World Record attempt for the ‘Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Gumbys’ will take place at an iconic London venue. We’re asking everyone who’s interested in taking part to join the official Facebook group for the event here.

I wonder if the audio of Graham's masturbation gag still exists.

I have already flying circus and almost everything on the list.
I fine with mastering.. I'm not eager to repurchase things again from them
As many times of reissues for there movies especially the holy grail..
We all know it's cash grab.. and john cleese is in house counting his money.

According to Cleese, it’s his ex-wives (and their lawyers) who are counting his money.

I seem to remember it was on one of the LPs, so it surely exists in some form.

I do too although I'm somewhat skeptical about how much blu-ray will improve the picture.

I'm just not a fan of the changes that were made in that last Region 2 set.
The episode survives intact as well as in edited form.

True. Twilight Zone on Blu-Ray is awesome, so there is hope.

Definitely interested in the Blu-ray assuming it's reasonably priced.

Found this interesting from the above link:

"Network Distributing will release all 45 episodes of "Monty Python’s Flying Circus", on Blu-ray and DVD, fully restored for the first time ever. Each episode has been painstakingly restored using the original video and film elements exclusively for this release. All four series, along with unseen and excised footage, sketches and much more, will be presented in an exclusive 50th anniversary limited-edition box set available exclusively for pre-order here from 29th July, with all four individual series available to purchase separately at a later date."

I thought the episodes only existed on tape and that was it. If original film elements exist, then the outdoor scenes could be much improved. Will be good to have the show completely unedited, too.

I could never understand what happened to the film segments ,after the mostly colorful nice looking film of the first season ,they go down hill big time

The following Monty Python's Flying Circus excerpt may be considered NSFW.

Elements that do exist, like the broadcast master in this clip, are in quite fine shape:

Wonder what they'll do about the stuff like the North American "captions" opening for Party Political Broadcast? Or, the censored stuff that only exists on b&w kinescope and off-air video?

And, just because, where the heck are the original tapes for Hollywood Bowl? Has any video ever surfaced from HBO's big deal presentation of that show?
