Does anybody know which tracks are actual single versions, and which ones - if any - are not? I noticed that the Animals set used lots of different, stereo versions. I was wondering about this one.
The basic rundown of songs different(however slightly) from the usual Lp cuts(hope I got 'em all!): NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN: Mono 1968 mix; no orchestra.(a stereo version of this exists, also). CITIES: stereo mix(shame they didn't use the superior mono version). VOICES IN THE SKY RIDE MY SEE SAW(w/45 countoff) QUESTION: 45 mix w/out intro Mellotron bursts from Mike Pinder THE STORY IN YOUR EYES I'M JUST A SINGER(IN A ROCK'N'ROLL BAND) FOR MY LADY REMEMBER ME(MY FRIEND) (Hayward/Lodge)--45 edit FOREVER AUTUMN (Justin)--45 edit STEPPIN' IN A SLIDE ZONE--45 edit DRIFTWOOD--45 edit GEMINI DREAM--45 edit THE VOICE--45 edit TALKING OUT OF TURN--45 edit SITTING AT THE WHEEL--45 edit BLUE WORLD--45 edit YOUR WILDEST DREAMS--45 edit I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE SOMEWHERE--45 edit ED
I have this set, great line up and a great price for it. Although I suspect the earlier tracks have been NoNoised slightly.
When you say different stereo versions, do you mean they are re-recordings? I've seen this set and I was thinking of picking this up. But...
Re: Re: Moody Blues The Singles + Thanks, Ed - you rule! I mean they used some stereo LP versions instead of single versions.
