The first auction for the two compilations looks to show US pressings. However, it is hard to make out details from the small picture. If they aren't US pressings, they could be Japanese pressings, though I am not aware of Japanese pressings of these titles.

The second auction is offering a US pressing of Greatest Hits Vol. 2. I can make out "MADE IN U.S.A. BY PDO" on the disc. The early US PDO discs didn't have clear plastic rings at the center. The US pressings I have of Greatest Hits and Greatest Hits Vol. 2 have clear plastic rings.

Regarding that US PDO copy of Greatest Hits Vol. 2, the scan of the disc shows an orange ring and orange Atlantic logo. Is that just the nature of the scan or did this pressing have orange? My US pressings of Greatest Hits and Greatest Hits Vol. 2 have a red ring and red Atlantic logo.

These are interesting discs, but I am dying to find an Atlantic pressing of Super Trouper.

    Steve:

I just found another copy this weekend. Let me know a way to get my extra copy of Vol. 2 to you and it's yours. It's got some scratches but plays fine.

    Steve:

You're welcome. This is on me, though. It's the least I can do in exchange for your providing such a great forum to all of us here. :edthumbs:

But remember that Volume 2 doesn't sound like Volume 1.
Volume 1 is the good one. Volume 2 is not right. Go figure!

    (IMHO, as always.)

I think both Atlantic ABBA compilations sound good.

I agree. I think that both of the Atlantic Abba GH discs sound better than what's come out since they were issued.

But they don't sound at all alike, at least judging from my copies, which I got in 1984 or whenever I first saw them for sale.

    YMMV!
