    Apart from the question "is the record itself truly mint", I'd bet with you the insert (and we all know it had one) is damaged. The other observation is he wasted a picture. Picture #2 needed to be of the records not the centre-spread in order to back up his claim on the record condition.

    That's not much of a bargain for this record with a cover in the depicted condition. At least he included a photo, though.
