I was just noticing something else here..
Aside from John grabbing a pen and firing off this large 'power signature' ; Paul signs
in the small area left. Paul also does something rarely seen, he signs as P McCartney.
Seemingly mimicking the lack of first name.. hmmm.

Seems to be about 15 similar items going under the hammer. 78 r.p.m. and 33 1/3 r.p.m.

Yes, some very rare items there. I assume they will go quite high, plus the buyers premium..
I got an 8" MPHC for 300. from Julien's once .. A 10" would be very nice.

U.S. "Napoleon Room" My one time visit to the Deauville on Miami Beach.
A girlfriend and I finally stopped in to see the hotel, this was twenty five years ago.
I was living on the beach only ten minutes down the road in Hollywood.. Ocean Blvd. A1A .
The ballroom was closed, and unused at the time. There was a watchful heavy eye feeling there.
I was able to grab a worker and ask him where the Beatles room was, and he cautiously brought
me there. I turned on a row set of lights.. and the whole room lit up. It was huge.. but stark, empty
with a large pile of chairs in the corner and some tables. Unused it appeared.

It was a moving moment. I had to get on the stage, and did.

 

Great story, Bruce! Memories are the most precious thing you can own.

 

Now, here's a moral dilemma:-

On my shelf I have in excess of one hundred CDs featuring great music recorded by Ryan Adams.

This may sound really odd, but I have never gotten in to him. At all.
I've heard a song or two, that's it. No music in any form that I'm aware at chez Mulle' .
I certainly will not be giving him an ear. Must have been heavily influenced by Gary Glitter..

Don't destroy. The photo of the Beatles record bonfire because of a Lennon remark comes to mind.
Throughout time many great artists have also been imperfect or stupid and even criminal. A personnel price should be paid but the art remains. If you find it hard to separate the artist from the art, then find a way to pass those CDs to someone who might be able to appreciate the music apart from the controversy. Good Luck.

 

You are correct .. this was a known misprint on the U.K. 45 labels.
They added an "s" to Angel (Angels), and incorrectly attributed the song to Bob Dylan.
This continued for three variations..

 

Thea signed one of my copies of this last year. Nigel Stonier is her husband; Egan Stonier is her (now) 12 year old son.

Thea Gilmore: "The New Tin Drum" - 2017 EP available at live shows. "Willow" is a beautiful song. "Eyes on the Prize" is the traditional Civil Rights song.
