The postwoman has delivered my RSD purchases..
Upon opening ''BOTT TP'', I at first thought I had lucked out as I didn't see the dust and paper specs, etc others have mentioned. It's a clean cover and the labels seem centered properly. I then looked it over under bright lights, and saw much inner groove grime/smudges.. I did not notice the ''saw dust'' thing, but cleaned the cover inside, and of course then transferred it to a Mofi inner sleeve. I plan to give it a serious cleaning, then take her for a spin. I have a sealed E.U. copy from my friends in Spain, coming at some point as well. Did not notice extensive non-fill, but will see what's up when I play it.

My John Lennon ''Imagine Raw Studio Mixes'' LP looks impeccable.. what a difference in product. Nice proper inner sleeve, which also came with a cardboard color inner sleeve also, and a ''War Is Over'' copy of the original large poster. The vinyl is heavy and the packaging excellent.

    Hoping for the best..

Good luck with BOTT. Mine is looking considerably better after several cleaning sessions and a couple more spins and I'm now thinking I don't need to buy another copy. My first pass at digitising it was kind of okay but I'll be able to improve on it for sure.

I have finally got my new Rega P6 TT, (after the unconnected cartridge event) .. But, it's back now, and supposedly fixed.. my back is so bad I have not completed everything.. can you imagine (?) I have not had a TT in weeks.. and now, I am not well enough to bend over to test my new LP's.

I wish I had a decent friend in Bham, AL..

IF this lo000ng ongoing chronic pain continues - I will sell it all. Everything.
The last thing I would ever consider, but I can't move or carry anything anymore.
Been carrying this load around the country too long. I'll be 64 very soon.. but going on 90.
I have no idea how I will make Crimson in Nashville though I have VIP tickets from day one..

To my dear friends who we have plans to attend the Dylan Tulsa Opening - and my SHF friends as well.. I have no idea how it will happen.. David and Merce` are flying in from Spain to drive me and care for me.. but I would not want to put THAT on anyone.

Stay tuned for possible availability of things that have take a lifetime to acquire.
I can not take it with me, and He works all things for good. Even when I can't understand
this present crapola. I'm ready for the trumpet!

Send a good thought up.. if you can.
No hyperbole ... I'm beyond concerned.

Bruce, you are an incredibly giving and caring person. Please stay strong and please know that I am looking forward to meeting you
in Tulsa at the opening. I promised you a great dinner and I expect you to collect on that promise! I am two hours from Tulsa and if there is anything I can do to help... you know my name and you know my number :tiphat: .

Regarding the pressing of vinyl 45s, what period are you referring to there? Would this have included 1965-67?

Santa Maria began pressing vinyl 45's, albeit for Columbia and sublabels only at first, in 1965-66. (I have a Buddy Greco 45 on Epic from 1965 from that plant that was vinyl.) 1966 was when they started using 3.625" rather than 3.5" labels on vinyl. From January 1969 to the end of '76 all 45's pressed in Santa Maria (whether on CBS labels or custom clients) were vinyl, then resumed alternating between that and styrene in late '76 (one of the first in the latter category I have being, of all things, a styrene CSM of Bread's "Lost Without Your Love" on Elektra).

Thanks very much for this information. Have you ever seen any US Dylan singles from 1965-67 pressed on vinyl? If there were any, presumably they'd be from Santa Maria?

Here's the rub. The colored vinyl pressings from 1965-67 period all came from Pitman. But if there are any black vinyl Dylan 45's of that period (not contract pressing, of course) . . .
