FWIW, I do think imgur is a pretty great site - it seems to keep the images longer, perhaps, than other sites. I frequently see old posts of mine and the image still works, while images from other sites often have an “expired” notation.

Regardless, the posting challenge is the same: find a site where you can link to a “.jpg” image and you’re set, folks!

 

Thanks again, team! I love the stuff this thread is made of! I've been on Spizer to use his acumen for years to create a nice P.O.P.(point of purchase or promotional point of purchase) guide. I've had the chance to buy the Abbey Road trash can and several others through the years, but the one I missed was the waiving hand 'Help' display. It was just too much money at the time...$175!

I remember when I first started in Pgh, this girl I traded with about 40 years ago had the motorized Beatles heads Capitol display in beautiful condition ..
just amazing things. Another friend back then, had a super Beatles collection, and turned on a dime - quit, sold, and then started collecting Aerosmith.
I really thought I was in the twilight zone... Hope you'll share with us

I am not a great photographer, but try my very best .. after numerous shots, I still
could not get the slight iPad line reflection across Paul's face.

Plucked of the wall by yours truly about 13 years ago.
The tear was there, and some slight foxing .. but I'm
celebrating big time .. I thought I sold this stuff years ago.

The Wallflowers - First Tour Poster
This may be my fave find today, after worrying where the heck this stuff was for the
past six years I found a small mother load of personal faves .. this is from Jakob Dylan
and the Wallflowers first ever album .. which went nowhere.. and is in fact his best album.
I pulled it down at Metropol in Pgh somewhere around 1991 - 1992 .. A keeper!
Got to admit 25 years ago, I was a still a young idiot .. and talked his head off about Dad ..
he was cool as can be.

From Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band .. Beatles Love You.
All four Beatles took part in this art work made for the Monterey Pop Festival
.. a mixed media piece. This is the official poster that was offered years ago, from
when the original was auctioned. Still in it's sealed plastic cover.
c., 1967 / 2008 (?).








Difficult to read, but the Beatles give a shout to Elvis and Dylan along the left side,
and Ringo signs as Harold which is not readable against the red.

The Beatles - Hey Johnny
I do not have this in my collection .. Perry has it listed with a
day left last I looked .. This is something I can not remember
ever seeing, and thought it was worthy of sharing. Pre- Ringo
Beatles promo photo signed by John and Paul .. "Best wishes Johnny".
If the pen would not have skipped, and condition was better think I
would've been very tempted... Check this rarity out!

Much earlier in this thread I posted photos of an absolute rarity ...
a very early preliminary acetate for The Beatles - At The Hollywood Bowl from a 1976 Sterling Sound Inc disc. I also showed the final acetate of the H.B. on Capitol Records released May, 1977 ... I had mentioned when I acquired these two gems, that there was a middle acetate from early Dec. 1977 that I let go due to cost necessity. I have now decided to show this acetate disc for those interested .. As stated this one is not part of the collection.
