I think it's a very special dedication to a very hardworking industry figure. In my mind, that was the only appropriate course of action.

The Beatles - "THE BEATLES AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL"
    U.S. Capitol Records 12" two-sided acetate lacquer.
This disc is the last final acetate for the May, 1977 official release.

Earlier in the thread, I posted my very early preliminary July 14, 1976 Sterling Sound acetate of H.B.
That rare acetate had 6 songs that were completely different, never used, the running sequence was different, mix was different, song titles shortened, and there was extra unheard Lennon concert chatter...
There was at least one other Capitol acetate that was cut between that very early disc and this
final acetate as issued in May, 1977. I saw it and had a chance to acquire it, but opted for the rare
Sterling 1976, and the final released Capitol issue.

The Beatles U.S. Capitol Records in-store promotional poster for the 1965 Christmas release
of the great "Rubber Soul" LP. Classic Capitol hip mid-60's promo slogan...
"Great For Giving! Or Just GROOVY listening!" Poster released for the December 5, 1965 Christmas season release. Measures 22'' x 34'' came machine folded from factory.
This particular poster was from the personal collection of music critic Ralph J. Gleason, co-founder of Rolling Stone magazine with Jann Wenner, and a founder of the Monterey Jazz Festival.

A couple items signed by Stiv Bator.....

This is a laserdisc that Stiv (messily) signed "Jim Lives Stiv Bator" after we watched the movie at my place after a local Lords show in '86. He was a huge Jim Morrison fan and some of his ashes were scattered on Morrison's grave after he died in '90.

The above Bob Dylan self-titled "six-eye" label albums are extremely RARE.
Columbia Records had just signed young Dylan, and the record label was in
the process of undergoing a major change in their label art work. The new
singer just made the cut, having both Stereo and Mono copies of his debut
record released with in a month or so of the change.

How rare is the record with the stereo label as opposed to the jacket? I have one I bought a while ago in a used record store, but the jacket had been replaced with a reissue jacket (probably done by the store because the old one was in bad condition).
