Elvis Presley, Johnny Rivers, and the song Memphis

 

I forgot I had the Elvis song in my collection and remembered the Johnny Rivers version because it was a hit and such an exciting song to hear on the radio back in the day. Anyway there is some controversy over whether that story is true.

I can't tell is this a flanger, a phase shifter, or both, but this is the most 70s thing ever.

 

Excellent choice - the first song that came to mind. Charlie Gillett had it released on his Oval records in the mid 70s as a single which in the UK is how I have it.
