Yup. I’m only amazed that its taken until page 3 of the thread for someone, anyone to mention it. I’ve not met anyone who was a fan of Enterprise whol’ll confess to liking it. Might be a few closet fans of the theme though.

Of shows I've recently watched, both Orange Is The New Black and The Affair are instant fast forwards.

By no small margin, the season two theme song for the HBO series "The Leftovers."
My hatred for that song is deep and profound.
    Great show, though!

I always assume Scott Bakula gets involved with the theme tune of all his shows.

Isn't that a little like complimenting a laxative commercial for its' effective spot-buy scheduling?

This one was annoying and offensive to anyone plus size all at once. Wendi Jo Sperber & the other ladies deserved better...

Here's one that's always grated, IMO. Quite odd considering these people got signed for a sitcom because of their other talent, which is music:

The Quantum Leap theme always struck me as particularly vapid and out-of-sync with the overall tone of the show. That's not a "melody", that's two fingers on a keyboard, trying to decide which note to start with. I suggest they re-purpose it for whichever show with "Family" in the title ABC poots out of the sausage grinder next. It literally sounds like Mike Post was busy that day, so he just grabbed whatever he had sitting on a desk; maybe a daytime-news theme for local teevee...?
Only redeeming touch was the flying-through-clouds open, then the crows in the visual.

I've been there! I think I even downloaded the "choice" cuts years ago.

    Consider yourself VERY fortunate. :righton:

  13. That right there is funny!
Agreed, a terrible song. Useful though, if one needs to torture someone in order to get needed information.

  14. One that comes to mind is the theme from an anime cartoon called, Star Blazers.
The show was pretty good for a space minded kid, but the theme song never appealed to me.
Not that long ago, when I played this cartoon for my kid, she commented the theme song was not very good...I laughed.

I have to agree that the OP's choice tops them all - what an atrocity!! The U.S. would've been really raked over the coals in the court of world opinion if they had used this song as a torture method at Guantanamo instead of waterboarding!

I HATE the Sons of Anarchy theme! Such bad, cliche blues rock that I can’t turn it off fast enough. I liked the show though.

With all the songwriters in the universe, they choose a Dianne Warren composition. :help:

The only thing I could come up with was this theme song to a short-lived 1967 TV show, "The Pruitts of Southhampton". Loved the show as a kid, but the Phyllis Diller-sung theme song even to this day seems to me to be either totally audacious fun or total earworm trash - you decide!

I loved the U.S. version. Very trippy, yet melancholy.
