Anonamemouse my other pink shirt is black too

I would pay for MC with John Corabi. To go and see MC with Vince they will have to pay me. A considerable amount.

Which announcement - the rumors of a tour or the "legal contract" to never tour?

Makes sense to me, a document that defines who is "Motley Crue" and who can legally tour under that name. Of course they could always re-negotiate the terms of that agreement.

Seems like it was more than just a document to guarantee 2 of 'em couldn't go out as "MC". From "Rolling Stone":

"The cessation of touring agreement that the band signed forbids the group from touring after “The Final Tour.” At the end of the two-year touring cycle, Lee, vocalist Vince Neil, guitarist Mick Mars and bassist Nikki Sixx will all go their separate ways; there will be no reunions. “Other bands have split up over rancor or the inability of people to get along, but this is a mutual [agreement] among all four original members and peaceful decision to move on to other endeavors and to confirm it with a binding agreement,” the band’s attorney, Doug Mark of Mark Music and Media Law, said."

Of course, it was always a joke - even without seeing the document, there was no chance it was really "binding".

But if they do reunite, it makes them look like idiots. The whole "legally binding" document came about because the band knew how many "farewell tours" weren't actual farewells, so this was their attempt to "prove" they meant it.

And yet they might come back 5 years later??? :wtf:

If the cheque is big enough....let's see how fast they unwind that agreement and write up something new.

That was always the way it was gonna be.

All artists who renege on "farewell tours" look like idiots, but the Crue would take it to a higher level if they toured again!

Yeah, most people understood the "legal document" was never anything more than a PR stunt, but it still makes them appear even more disingenuous than others...

Yeah, I agree that was always a PR stunt that was about as "legally binding" as Taylor Swift singing "we are never ever getting back together"! :D

Searched for more to make sure the clip above wasn't altered - and clearly it wasn't, as I found more!

I literally cried with laughter at that!

IMO, Vince's voice doesn't really sound bad - he was never much of a singer anyway - but the choice to mutter random sounds instead of actual words is comedy gold! :D

I'm reminded of something I read (IIRC in "The Dirt"). During the recording sessions, the record producer of 'Shout At The Devil' called someone at the record company to complain about the band, saying something like 'What are you doing to me? This band sucks! I mean the guitarist and drummer are OK, but the bass player can't play and the singer can't sing.'

IIRC Nikki Sixx (to his credit) was the one who told that story/admitted that harsh criticism.

I'll happily clown on modern Vince all day, but in the '80s the man was a great singer and performer.

Or as Vince Neil would say: "idda ree dee... unfreel!"

I was gonna say Vince took vocal lessons from Buckwheat - but Buckwheat articulates better!

Guys...phone the lawyers.....I've found the get-out clause of that "legally binding" contract ....MC are already idiots.

Clearly there was diminished responsibility when they signed them!!

Heck, who knows if they even know what they signed....did anybody think to read it out to them??????
