Trying to work in some more well-known films in this series. Tonight I'm watching Roman Polanski's Frantic. Frantic (film) - Wikipedia I've had a mixed relationship with Roman's films over the years finding his directing style both fascinating and a little boring at the same time. Still, without giving anything away, this one seems to have quietly over time become a stone-cold classic. It effectively preys upon the snowballing terror surrounding the simple fears of a confused reality and losing the comfort of your routine which in this case is your significant other.
Upon reflection after my first viewing, this film I think takes some time to digest. I'll have to watch again soon. There is something curious and intriguing about it. It is, on it's face, one of the better Polanski's films to be sure.
