I liked this Universal logo for the 2010 Wolfman...

Had forgotten about that one, paired with the "enjoy the show" clip utilizing the "'70s porno music" bumper theme (almost required a thick 'stache and a pizza box just to listen to it...)
Can't find that permutation now, but you would have heard it on the 3rd Season opening ep of Stranger Things.

Always amazing just how many studios with limited imagination in their executive positions, still managed all those clever permutations of their own logos when appropriate.

Even as a child, I always thought that the Mark VII was tied in somehow with Friday's badge number "714". Seven doubled is fourteen, and the Mark VII echoed that. Who knows? But it seems to fit in my brain.

Has this been forgotten in MGM history?

I was surprised to do an internet search and find this:

A companion piece to the previous compilation, The Ultra Sonic Perception (DUAL005), Dual Planet offers a further glimpse into the eccentric world of electronic music innovator Eric Siday. Sounds Of Now is a collection of electronic 'sound logos' and switched-on library cues used in production and broadcast in the 1960 & 70s. Included here are variants of the creepy manipulated synthesizer theme which accompanied the 1964 Screen Gems logo, which was subject to the 2010 documentary The S From Hell, exploring the psychological effects that this haunting piece of music had on a generation of TV watching children.

I was even more shocked to discover that somebody actually did a documentary on the goofy Screen Gems logo!

And I was surprised (when I first saw it) to discover that HBO had done an insider piece on how their "HBO in Space" movie title sequence was made!

I was never afraid of the Screen Gems logo when I was a kid. But I was strangely entranced by it while that alien music played.

I like this one. The music was slightly re-arranged for the company's 100th anniversary and sounds really great IMO.
There's also a short suite/variation performed during those sessions (can be heard in the background of the video below). Wish this was available on CD.

Here's an intersting oddball - Universal Marion Corporation:

This one is from Glen and Randa. The same one (or one very similar) is used for the wonderful Quackser Fortune Has a Cousin in the Bronx, which is where I saw it. Don't know which other films the company produced used the same version.

Another from a short-lived production company (CBS's foray into movie production I think):

I remember this one from The Reivers.
