Hard to believe, but movies released in 1989 are now 30 years old. Which ranks as your favorite? Pick your top 3. What a year at the box office.

Note - the poll only allows a certain number of entries which is very limited, so I was forced to leave off a lot of popular and great films. Just select other and comment what your top 3 are. It is impossible to pick which ones to put in the the poll, so no need to comment "How could you leave this off the poll?" It just shows you how many great films were released that year. Other popular, and to many, memorable films include the following:

    Steal Magnolias
    Lean on Me
    Harlem Nights
See No Evil, Hear No Evil
    The Abyss
    Always
    Tango and Cash
    Pet Sematary
    Road House
    Who's Harry Crumb
    License To Kill
    Society
    Teen Witch
    Sex Lies and Videotape
    Sea of Love
    All Dogs Go To Heaven
    The Wizard
    Black Rain
    Dead Calm
    Look Who's Talking
    War of Roses
    Let It Ride
    The Fabulous Baker Boys
    The Dream Team
    Loverboy
    Great Balls of Fire
    K-9
    We're No Angels
    Three Fugitives
    Fletch Lives
    My Left Foot
    Dad
    Casualties of War

It's amazing how many good movies were released compared to today. It may be a generational thing, but still...

I voted based on how I would have in 1989. But today I would pick "Do The Right Thing", "Parenthood" & "When Harry Met Sally". For the poll I picked BTTF2, Batman & Dead Poets

Wikipedia says it was released in Italy in October 1988, but the U.S. didn’t get it till March 1989. Not sure why, but there you go..

Easy - Harry Met Sally is hilarious. Do the Right Thing is an all time classic. Crimes and Misdemeanors is one of the greatest movies ever made, with one of the greatest endings committed to film.

UHF should have been on the list. It is far better than Ghostbusters 2.

It'll be interesting to see which one gets the most votes. There are plenty of good movies amongst these choices.

    That said;
    Indy
    Christmas Vacation
    Major League.
