His storytelling and, yes, almost a narration, of the events from November, yet intertwining with parables today is 'spot' on.
    That's our Bob.

It goes well with Cross the Green Mountain, a song with multiple meanings and levels of stories.

and when the Beatles had number 1 singles it was because REAL music wouldn’t fit on 1 side of a 45 RPM and they had silly haircuts.

All music is the victim and benefactor of the time it was released in. And for the past 70 years we’ve conflated success into being with commercial success. Digital downloads are a source of commercial success. And time to fly is a great song. I streamed it every time I was in the car for 2 weeks straight after that ozarks episode.

It's now been revealed that Fiona Apple is playing piano on this.

Makes sense. She's credited but doesn't sing anywhere on the album that I can hear, and this is the only song with a notable piano part.

Ms. Apple has confirmed she played on it but don't think that Pitchfork interview said it was on piano unless I missed it? That said, there is much speculation herself and Alan Pasqua both played piano on it.

Here was the first question related to her involvement:

"Speaking of masters of language, you played piano on Bob Dylan’s new album Rough and Rowdy Ways. How did that come about?"

She did not correct the interviewer, so I assume that it is correct to say that she played piano, but you're right that she never specifically said she played a particular instrument.

The article does indeed mention that she played piano on the track. It's about halfway down the page, referenced in the question to her about her participation.
