For me, the soft version of the chorus at the end of the song, just to break into a bigger chorus to end it all.
Very common in modern pop (Demi Lovato does that on almost every song, drives me crazy).

Dream Theater's "A Life Left Behind" does that too (at 4:00), for example.

    What are yours?

Is it a cliche or a pet peeve?

Modern mainstream hip-hop is the embodiment of a clichè. Hip-hop used to innovate and explore new territory in the ‘70s - ‘00s. Now even the indie artists are incredibly clichè. Although, there are still talented individuals trying to change the scene, as always.

If we could stop rapping about how great we are, abusing dangerous drugs, and guns, that’d be great.

Because without cliches a lot of music wouldn't exist?

A clichè is usually a small section of a song, not the entire thing.

Okay, how about people yelling "yeah!"? I don't like that. It's so cliché.

Near the end of a song repeating a chorus ad nauseum, then pausing to raise it a half-step so the chorus can be repeated another 50 times.
"Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" - I'm looking at you!!

At a live show when the performer says "this one goes out to each and every one of you."

Multiple people (or over dubbed) whistling melodies for extended periods of time. This is used a lot in commercials it seems too.

The OP specified music cliches that you "hate"- I think that means he is looking for pet peeves.

He very well may have music cliches that he likes, in which case they would not be a pet peeve.

The electronic piano clap-preset for '80s pop-urban hit singles, that goes, "Clap-clap! Clap, clap, clap-clap!"

Also, I feel like overused wordless singing has gotten out of control; So many popular songs these days have long passages where the singer(s) go something like “wahhoooo... wooowoo.. .a-wow-ay-ohhhh.”. It’s like the “oh whey oh”s in “Walk Like An Egyptian” gone way out of control. Again, advertising agencies seem to love using these songs in commercials (or making their own similar recordings) for some reason.

A cliche akin more to late 80s pop/rock......The little xylophone-like three note keyboard fill after every other bar...usually just before a chord change. Very tuneful to me at first until it I noticed it so much that it began to turn my stomach.
Also those electronic tom fills during the mid 80s. The musical equivalent of a sweatband.
