I would be tempted on this one, but I just can’t see how it could sound better than the original Acoustic Disc version. If you that one please let us know.

 

Lots of great titles but the shipping to Canada is more than the cost of the album

 

I ran an A/B on these two. At first it seemed like the AD trounced the MFSL, but I came to realize that my two disc players actually sound quite different. Swapping both in and out of the Esoteric, I couldn't detect a meaningful difference. Im glad to have the MFSL and play it regularly. Its nice to have, but if money is tight and you already have the AD, the MFSL doesn't sound $20 or $30 better, IMO.

 

Interesting. I haven't actually listened to my original copy of this CD in a while, but when the SACD shows up, I guess I'll do a shootout.

 

Most of these titles have been that price for a long time, and some of the Dylan monos were $14.99 recently.

Any coupon deal on Music Direct or Acustic Sounds for Mofi SACDs? maybe to get new titles for $25 each shipped?

and by the way, which of both AS or MD brings better packing for SACDs? you know this things are fragile cardboard.

and what about the packing from MOFI, I'll try to avoid MOFI that it seems there's no discount and they charge for shipping, I think is better buy on AS or MD.

You can sneak some titles through at Elusive Disc when they have a 10% off sale.
Look for the titles that do not include the “not eligible for any further discount” sentence in the description.

Most of the to SACDs I tried it on didn’t work, not applicable I think.

Doesn’t work on any of the “Not Eligible For Further Discount” titles I tried.
There are a few where it did work, the Miles Smiles SACD for example, and a bunch of Analogue Productions SACDs,.
Looks like I’ll be placing a sizable order.
