I think “sees” is the operative word here.

Well not everyone, I'm the opposite.
Lived here over a year before we plugged the TV in.

Ikr, so fatigue will kick in way more quickly.
But music that gets under your skin is definitely worse.
Especially in this period of the year, all those Christmas songs that are on repeat like auditory torture o_O
I would rather fire up a leafblower or circular saw in order to drown out that radio garbage.

Is it? since up to this point most of our viewing has been 2K on 4K screens (that’s slowly changing). Now they are selling 8K sets with almost no content.

I can listen to crap music as long as the production is good on my system which is a dream for me

Which I really don’t understand. If you buy an 8K display now, by the time there is enough 8K content to make that a worthwhile thing to have, the models available then will be substantially more advanced (and less expensive) than the one you bought now.

Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

I'd blame the audio industry for not hyping up the importance of high quality sound. But, if I remember correctly, better quality TV was especially targeted towards sports fans wanting to see games in larger and better quality. People started buying huge TVs just to watch the Stupid Bowl.

    I like the stupid bowl
    "Blow up your TV
    Throw away your paper
    Go to the country
    Build you a home
    Plant a little garden
    Eat a lot of peaches
Try an' find Jesus on your own"

Yeah, I started with something like a round 5” b&w screen back in the day. I think it must have been -4K.

I don't feel like running a bad sounding music in my system not only it defeats the purpose but it will destroy the speakers..
On a personal preference like what you're asking, I can listen to some elevator music that is unavoidable, but I can wait to go home listening to a nice sounding music and system.
    None of the above.

I know some truly horrible music that is not going to damage my speakers...
