First one I thought of. FYI, Robert is playing The Drake in Toronto Nov 12.

Not a well-known band, but the couple that made up School of Seven Bells.

Not sure of their names, but the guy died of the same type of lymphoma that took out Joey Ramone. The gal finished up their last album together, and released it post-mortem.

Not a duo per se, but David Gilmour and Richard Wright. (Gilmour now refuses to play "Echoes" live for the specific reason that it was a musical conversation between him and Rick.)

And, for that matter, Zee, which was Wright and Dave Harris.

Several of these examples aren't "musical partners", just people who played in bands together.

  25. Robert Forster and Grant McLennan of The Go-Betweens. The death of McLennan was tragic and unfortunate. Forster has carried on making some really good music.
