What a great thread! - Groundharp thanks for the heads-up as to the existence of this thread - I would have appeared to be just the worst sort of jackass imaginable had I started a thread entitled "The role played by the leather jacket in the history of popular music"! - - whilst this terrific thread was in existence.

I'm much too lazy to work my way through all 10 pages of the thread right now but I wanted to add a photo that was going to be part of a grand prize that I was planning to offer to the first person who could produce a photo which featured sunglasses, at least one leather and two fringe jackets -



This Steppenwolf shot would have been the grand prize winning photo if anyone had been able to find it... The grand prize would have been an autographed copy of fellow Canadian Neil Young's "Live Rust" (kind of sounds like a big deal until you find out that the autograph is mine - )...

 

Geddy's hair actually looks pretty cool... and I didn't recognize Neil without the world-class mullet...

 

Two leather jackets and two fringe - I should win a prize or something, eh?
