My Old School. Great song perfectly arranged and played.

 

The Caves of Altamira, or Kid Charlemagne, or Gaucho, or Only a Fool Would Say That... That is a tough question.

 

I’m an old school rocker. But Aja got my attention when it was released way back when. That said, every SD album is great.

 

A lot of calls for “Doctor Wu”.
That is one song I tried and tried to get into but for some reason it doesn’t grab. Never skip it though.

 

Great list of songs! If I had to pick just five, it would be these.

 

“Only A Fool Would Say That”. “Haitian Divorce” is close, as is “My Rival”.

 

"Reelin' In the Years" (quad release)

 

Another vote for "Kid Charlemagne" and "Your Gold Teeth". Two truly outstanding songs imo.

And sorry Wildest Cat, but I can't stand "Show Biz Kids", which is why Countdown to Ecstasy just misses out on being my favorite Steely Dan Album to The Royal Scam.

Really hard to choose. So many great songs.

 

i hear you. I do same thing. But you may be denying yourself some great music.

 

"Any World That I'm Welcome To" ("Dirty Work" or "Rikki" would be the runners-up).
The first four albums have so many gems it's tough to choose.
