My iPod came back to life today...creepy.

A few days ago my iPod died. I usually keep it in the dock charging and hooked up to my laptop.

I thought that was the end. I would have to either pay a lot to have the battery replaced or just buy a new one. It's a second generation (I think) 15gig model with the four buttons right below the screen.

But lo and behold! I was checking it out today and it came back to life right in my hands! Fully functional.

This ever happen to anyone else? And what can I do to keep it from dying again?

 

Perhaps it was some sort of Halloween joke...

 

I have the same one as you. I thought it "died" once or twice but it is still going strong. The hard drive would sometimes lock up also but would be OK after the battery went down to zero.
