I'd assume that she'd like me to bring a bottle of wine over and welcome her to the neighborhood while we spin the LP on her turntable. You might bring a few other albums just in case.

I would be more than glad to make friends.
I would have brought the package back if it were me.
I would have looked at it and realized that it didn't belong to me and check the address and see that it was 50 feet away. I would have then brought it over and knocked and hand delivered it to the person in question.
I didn't do anything to this person. I left a civil note.
You guys act like I went Dexter on her.

You're good, I've done for my neighbors what you suggested she should have done, and of course the Internet is going to criticize your reaction no matter what it was

Honestly I think she should have brought it over right away. Can’t take even a minute.

Please have her join up and report on the packaging quality by Amazon, the more data the better.

My house is #32 and I get stuff all the time for #32 on the next street over. I always bring it over and leave it in their mailbox or if it's too big I'll ring the doorbell and give it to them. Once it was a package from the Bryan Clauson fan club (a racecar driver who had just died in a crash) as I handed it to them I said I was probably the only other person in the area who even knew who Bryan Clauson was.

Makes me wonder how much of MY stuff gets delivered to their house and if they return it as I do.

  12. She's probably like, 'geez, I've been here for a few weeks now and my neighbor hasn't had the courtesy to say hello. Now he's left me a demanding note like it's my fault Amazon mis-delivered a package.'

    She's listening to the LP.
She hates Amazon, so she's keeping the package.
She doesn't like to talk to people.

She's waiting for her husband (or male partner) to deal with the matter.

Your post states 'this happened about an hour ago'.Bloody hell give the poor cow a chance! Could be she's at work or out.Either way you are a bit quick off the mark to accuse her of theft!

Fresh out of school I was living in a tiny apartment in Boston. One day I got a package from Victoria’s Secret, addressed to someone down the hall. I knocked on the door and the prettiest Asian girl answered. She was super embarrassed and kept apologizing, explaining that it was “for work”. Turns out she was a lingerie model!
That was almost thirty years ago, and we’ve been happily married ever since.

This is getting weird. The original poster has been active on the forum a few times earlier today, but hasn't posted here since yesterday.

That is a great album she has there, if you haven’t heard it.
