Mystery Science Theater 3000 some kind of awful

I just love that they go for such nerdy humor like that sometimes. You just KNOW that someone on the writing staff was an audiophile!

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned or not...but MST3K works best when baked.

I regret that I have but one like to give to this post.

 

Comedy doesn't work for everybody. And certainly some episodes are FAR better than others. If a movie is really slow-moving without much dialogue, sometimes there isn't enough material for the guys to riff on.

Pod People and Devil Fish are my two favorite episodes. But those are movies that I can enjoy even without the riffing, oddly enough.

 

Pod People is great because of the weird dubbing and editing throughout the movie.

Back to back episodes too. And apparently not edited for syndication as the first one starts at 8PM and the second to start at 10:30 PM.

EDIT: Oh, and forgot to mention that they're starting with "Manos" (of course), and "Teenagers From Outer Space". Two stellar episodes!

 

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet without reading through the entire thread, but it was announced a few weeks ago that they are currently shooting a new season of 'MST3K' which will air on Netflix once completed.
