Matt Damon - Good Will Hunting (though no argument for any of the Bourne films - too close of a call. All are excellent films)

Guy was in so many great films, not least of which One-Eyed Jacks, Dr. Strangelove, and Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid. Personally, I’d choose one of those, or any of half a dozen others, over Blazing Saddles, amusing as that film is.

Agreed! Great actor with many fine roles, but his performance in Godfather Part 2 is one of the greatest by any actor in any movie. Absolutely a miscarriage of justice that he didn't win the Oscar for this role. I've heard that Godfather 2 was originally two hours longer, I wonder if all that extra footage still exist(additional scenes not included in the Godfather Novel/Epic)? If so, Francis should do an extended edit of part 2!

To think he won the Oscar for Scent of a Woman of all films after being nominated for Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon and Godfather 2!

The Dresser for Tom Courtenay, which I also saw him in on Broadway. In both venues he was spectacular. IMO, it might be the best film performance of all time. It's my favorite, at least.
