On your turn, name a character or real person mentioned in a song. Someone will then try to guess the song. The first correct guesser may then post their own character/person. Additional clarifications: Only post a character if you've personally answered the previous character. Quote the post you are answering. It doesn't need to be the intended song to move along. Should the intended song not be solved, on a later turn the character may be re-posted with the term (excluding xxx) to get a new answer. Same goes for anyone who wants to post an already answered character. If it takes over an hour to get an answer, someone can jump in to post a new character. The old one will still be active, but the eventual guesser would have lost the chance to post a new character, and would respond adding the term (old one) so as not to confuse the flow. If the correct guesser does not post a new character within 15 minutes, someone else can jump in to post a new character. Inspiration and rules influenced by @AllOverTheMap 's I Can Name That Tune in Two Words game. This is not for points, more a list with that game's twist. Adding youtube links and comments about the song is welcome. Please only use Google if unanswered after 24 hours or to verify an already answered character. I'll start with: John Lee Pettimore
I know I know the song. I can kind of identify the genre of the song and the timbre of the guy's voice. But it's not my cup of tea, so it'll never come to me.
Thanks for playing, but you must answer one before posting your own. @RandyB1961 responded correctly and has now put one up. Virgil Cane should not be answered, but you may put it up later if you guess someone's character.
Stack-A-Lee turned to Billy Lyons and shot him right through the head Only taking one shot to kill Billy Lyons dead All about that John B. Stetson Hat.
Unfortunately I'm probably not going to be able to check in for a few hours, @Veltri you want me to send you the answer as a PM, as gamemaster?
That's fine, the game allows for that. If no answers in an hour, someone else can post a new one, and yours can be answered later for fun.
As this hasn't been answered in one hour, someone else may now post a new one. This one will remain open to guess for fun but not to put up a new one when solved. Indicate (old one) when solving. testingcan may post the answer after 24 hours or someone can look it up and post the answer after the 24 hours.
This is proving to be more challenging than I expected - good! It's been an hour so someone may post a new one.
Yes, this will give a chance to people in other time zones or busy during the hour to still try to get it, but without holding back the game.
