Sony is out. Every Sony MD deck I have has something wrong with it. Now I'm using an Elite MJ-17 and an Onkyo Hi-MD deck. I upgraded my Parasound amp and Pre. The Monitor Gold speakers sound better than ever since I got the A23+ amp and P7 pre combo. The speakers, Monitor Gold towers and a cute little 8" Atlantic Technology sub remain the same. It's the same old Pro-ject turntable with Shure cartridge. The system hasn't changed much fundamentally. The A23+ is far and away the biggest tweek I've made with the system. It was such a noticeable upgrade. No exhausting listening sessions were needed. It only took about a minute to discern the new ceiling. Now....it's Joy squared!

I'm surprised I don't see more Hifiberry conversations around here. Such an easy way to get great networked sound. I suppose it's the DIY aspect which turns people off as many seem to prefer a "plug and play" item.
