Nice picture quality. Too bad someone synced stereo songs in. I understand some like that but I prefer when they just use the actual music that was on the tape in the first place.

I prefer a stereo sync when the original audio is just distorted mono of the original record that was lip synced for the show. If the performance on the original tape is actually a performance unique to that appearance, I definitely wouldn't want that replaced with a new sync to the original record.

I like when both are an option. The stereo makes for a nicer watch, but the original is great for a ‘trip back’.

I did watch a good chunk of this and thought they did a great job. I'm usually more bothered how syncs won't actually match up to the video. This one was done very well.

To have correct information at our local radio station, I'm looking for the years of first—single or album—release (or recording date in case of tracks from "the vault", like Machine Gun Kelly) of these songs. This is what I have come up with. Is this correct?

    03. Sugar Town - 1966

    07. You Only Live Twice - 1967
    08. Summer Wine (feat. Lee Hazlewood) - 1966

I skimmed thru the Movin' With Nancy special - thanks for posting that! I think maybe my wife & I will watch the whole thing this weekend - it should be fun!

Despite the fact that all of us probably have "Somethin' Stupid" more than once in our collections, I'm just a little surprised that it wasn't included on this new compilation - if for no other reason than the fact that Nancy got top-billing on the single.

I don't believe I have any Nancy Sinatra in my collection - except for a couple of very scratchy 45s. So this realease is great news - now I just have to figure out what I want to order!

Personally I’m happy the duet with her dad wasn’t included here. I am glad they included a few tracks from the underrated second album by Nancy and Lee!

I get ya - and its absence should in no way be a deal breaker for anyone. Like most everyone else here, I'm sure I have the song in my collection several times over. I was just "a little" surprised, mainly because of the original billing on the song.
The one song I do miss on here is "Love Eyes". Do we know whether there will be any follow-ups - or would you recommend picking up a copy of the Rhino collection also?

I like to have the option too though can't accept stereo dubbed soundtracks on black and white material... color, no problem, but black and white, it's mono every time for me. Stereo jars badly with b+w footage to my eyes and ears, so Nancy's special works well in stereo.

Was 'Machine Gun Kelly' never originally released in the 70s?

From the Nancy Sinatra Songography at Sinatra Family Forun:

The 1972 recording of "Machine Gun Kelly" had been initially used in truncated form over a film montage of hotel and casino marquees in the Nancy & Lee In Las Vegas Swedish documentary/concert TV special. The full-length track was commercially released in 2006 on The Essential Nancy Sinatra CD and included on the 2009 Cherry Smiles digital-only compilation.

That's great news -- but I sure wish they'd include a first-ever vinyl pressing of their third album, which I'm fairly certain was only released in Australia!

I'm glad they mention the track from the "Woman" album -- I wish they had included another track or two from there (the Kim Carnes-written "Fell In Love With A Poet", or the title track of her 1995 "comeback" album "One More Try", or the dramatic "Flowers").

Wow that's amazing to get such a glowing review from them! I really do wish she and Lana would do something at some point... maybe there's a new album in Nancy's near future?

'Some Velvet Morning' gives me the chill... It's so good.
    What is this song about?
Why is it fading in the end? is there a longer version somewhere? (same on "Summer wine).

I don’t think the song truly has any meaning, nor do either have versions without fades sadly. The mono of SVM is a hair longer though!
