Nashville - new ABC drama

Is CMT a network? It's more like a cable channel.

 

No, actually considerably worse than Arthur Fonzarelli it would appear

I agree that Nashville was starting to get repetitive a couple of seasons ago and I made that point back then in this thread. However, I did stay with it and have enjoyed it for the most part since then. It's far from perfect but the characters are likeable enough to sustain it. So, I'm happy it gets at least one more season.

 

5th season starts now on CMT (9:00 ET). Showing 2 episodes back to back.

 

A really good start to the season. The writing is much better than last years. Plus more Connie Britton and less Maddie.

 

And. . . Rhiannon Giddens is joining the cast!

 

I agree the season is off to a good start. But, the stalker ending tells me that could change quickly.

 

I knew that was her. Kudos to these producers for adding her. Is she now in a reoccurring role?

 

Remains to be seen how extensive her role is. IMDB only lists her in these two episodes broadcast so far, but it's clear she's in the next one as well. She plays the "singing angel" who pulled Juliette from the plane wreckage. . . Juliette is driven to find and thank her. . . seems she might end up being a recording artist for Rayna's company, that's how I would write it, and bring them some monetary success.

We'll see.

I sure wish Charlotte hadn't cut her hair.

 

Truly one the worst shows in the history of television...but we watch it every week it's really cringeworthy bad...

 

That's what I was hoping. It would make sense that they would add someone with that kind of talent who is just under the radar. I didn't recognize her at the crash site, but when they came upon her at that church, I knew right then it was her. I hope she's around for a while.

 

It is very up and down but far from the worst.

I don't think Opry Entertainment or the Bureau of Tourism will be hiring you anytime soon.

 

So Connie Britton didn't want to be on the show anymore. Didn't expect what happened on this week's episode.

 

We didn't know any of the behind-the-scene stuff. So, we both looked at each other and went, "What?!"

 

Guilty pleasure show for me..My gf loves it..I don't see that point in the show continuing and wished it had just ended with Season 4.

 

Is she still on right now?

 

Won't be the same without her. Definitely the heart and soul of the show. Odd the way they essentially knocked her down 3 times in succession.

 

Any other predictions?

 

Yes. I predict it will become more unbearable to watch than it already is.

 

Does anyone recall how long it is on hiatus for?
