They're already starting to film the next season next week. The casting company has been advertising for extras here in Nashville over the last few days. Hope it's better than last season!

I used to be a big fan before the train jumped off the rails, which it did before ABC cancelled it. They were just beating dead a horse once it moved to cable.

 

What season do you think jumped the shark?

 

I actually think the last season (5?) was better than the last few ABC ones. Well, it started off well anyway.

 

Season 4 on ABC. I quit watching then.

 

6 seasons isn't that long at all in my opinion.

We have been rewatching the series on Hulu to fill in some missing gaps before the series ends next week. One aspect that blows my mind is how much money Rayna has blown on Highway 65 talent that never panned out for various reasons. Much of it was no fault of her own. I mean who would have guessed that Sadie Stone would kill he ex-husband or Marcus Keen was gonna flake and join back up with his old band. No wonder the label is seriously in the red by season 5.

 

This show was so similar to how the music industry works in the real Nashville, that they had to stop showing it. (Please note extreme sarcasm, and if you know anyone who "thinks" they can write, or perform country music, tell them to stay far away from here!).

 

I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the series finale. Kind of a hooky show but something fun that me and the gf watched together.
