Needle drop recording problems

    Problem fixed!!

    Everyone who had suggestions for me, thank you very much.

    I tested both my Ram and HD, perfect working order. I decided to go through the hassle and try a reinstall of WinXP. Cleared and reformatted the HD, then installed XP.

    Audio is once again recording perfectly, and my computer is running twice as fast as it has been the past few months!!!

    That's great news, Danny. Reinstalling Windows was going to be my next suggestion anyway.

    The trick is to never let so much stuff accumulate in your computer.

    By re-install you mean just popping in your Windows CD and going through the install process again, right? Not also re-formatting?

    I cleared and did reformatted the HD before the re-install, or should i have said "fresh install"? sorry if i confused the terms.
