Rip to one of the real giants
Rest In Peace.
Crushed over this news...Sitting here sobbing....So privileged I got to see him play live numerous times...The world is a lesser place without him.
I can't believe this sad news. He was a prog giant. RIP Neil and thanks.
Prayers and love for his family and friends.
One of my favourite all time drummers ...
Rest easy, Mr. Peart.
Excellent drummer. Always interesting lyricist. I really enjoyed his travel books, too.
This is sad.
Damn, that truly sucks. RIP Neil
I always dread the day a great drummer dies.
I've listened to every lick and lyric ... We have lost a great man, a big influence..
What a blow. I am in shock.
I am gutted. My favorite percussionist. Had no idea of his health. I have all those great Rush albums to listen to till the I die.
NOOOO1 I am totally shocked ! I have been completely immersed in Neil's outstanding drumming on the Fly By Night album, about how spectacular it is/was especially as a recording debut. I am shocked! RIP Neil, you no longer have to worry about going bald. Devastated…..
Very sad news. He was a great talent, and an intelligent, imaginative man. Driven by Neil Peart, Rush never cared for fashionable opinion and just did their own thing, brilliantly. RIP.
Damn. Another Rock God gone...
F***! Have been listening to HYF and Presto all this week and earlier today. Not their best music, but definitely some of his best lyrics. Virket elohem.
Oh wow... Devastating. RIP.
R. I. P. A class act.
Horrible!! The best is gone. May you now be rejoined with your first wife and daughter. God speed Neil.
I was wondering what 2020 would be like in this regard...this one hit close to home. Rush is the only band I ever saw more than once live; whenever they were local to my itinerant (military) lifestyle, I caught their show. Their music was my choice music for the whole 2000-2010 decade and got me through the toughest days of my life. I just told my wife, who went to one of those shows with me, but I don't think she understands how devastated I am. Missed the band and will miss him, what style and grace he had. Not to mention, what a drummer. RIP and all my love to his family and Geddy and Alex and the whole Rush extended family.
We may be immortal for a limited time, but the music you created will live on in eternity. Rest easy Neil.
This is like losing a close friend.
