Excellent drummer. Always interesting lyricist. I really enjoyed his travel books, too.

    This is sad. :(

    RIP Neil

I am gutted. My favorite percussionist. Had no idea of his health. I have all those great Rush albums to listen to till the I die.

    RIP, Neil.

NOOOO1 I am totally shocked ! I have been completely immersed in Neil's outstanding drumming on the Fly By Night album, about how spectacular it is/was especially as a recording debut. I am shocked! RIP Neil, you no longer have to worry about going bald. Devastated…..

Very sad news. He was a great talent, and an intelligent, imaginative man. Driven by Neil Peart, Rush never cared for fashionable opinion and just did their own thing, brilliantly. RIP.

I was wondering what 2020 would be like in this regard...this one hit close to home. Rush is the only band I ever saw more than once live; whenever they were local to my itinerant (military) lifestyle, I caught their show. Their music was my choice music for the whole 2000-2010 decade and got me through the toughest days of my life. I just told my wife, who went to one of those shows with me, but I don't think she understands how devastated I am. Missed the band and will miss him, what style and grace he had. Not to mention, what a drummer. RIP and all my love to his family and Geddy and Alex and the whole Rush extended family.
