Target writes today to tell me that whatever-it-is insanely low priced thing I ordered just for the heck of it they call "Neil Young Archives Vol. 2" is expected to be delivered on Sept. 3! Wonder what will be in the package? (If a package indeed arrives.

I received the same email, but I am under the impression that Neil Young has stated that the set won't be released until November 6 (and I'll be surprised if it's released then, as opposed to later than that).

  3. No worries, at the very least it will be recyclable, carbon free and specially chosen by he and Daryl from breakfast that day

I also still can't believe that the thing Neil is calling Archives Vol. 2 is actually being sold by Target for the iirc less than 10 bucks I paid. I think the end game of this is "order cancelled, refunded" but....keepin hope alive!

Could you provide a link to that Target pre-order?

shepherd sorry to tell you this was ordered many weeks ago---pretty sure from a link I found in some Neil thread here...and I can't find it any more myself.

I am 99 percent sure it was a mistaken listing, but....they took the order, and continue to send emails about planning to ship it....

Maybe it will be "The Times" EP/single he has been talking about?? Just a guess.

I received a similar message today. I'm glad they reminded me, I have forgot about this. Shipping Sept. 3. A mystery surprise order.

I'll hold out for individually available discs rather than duplicating what I have already. Optimistic, I know.

It is highly unlikely Archives 2 drops in two weeks with no promotion, no track-listings, no presale links (other than Target), etc.

I just approved the Delay from Target as well. If you ordered from them, make sure you do that, otherwise they will cancel your order!

Or it may just be repeated requests to approve, followed by a final one that you have exactly one minute to approve before it gets automatically cancelled.

lol, is this a real thread? We'll soon be in the realm of quantum physics regarding if the Archives Vol 2 even exists in our space -time continuum or only on Planet Neil.

Sure, but as long as Target keeps moving the goal posts and keeps our orders alive we have HOPE. GOT FUEL TO BURN GOT ROADS TO DRIVE

Hahaha yeh. Me too. I expect we shall be seeing these weird "back ordered, shipping a little later" emails on this obviously non existent product they sold us for a long time, then a quiet refund. Sad but was obvs too good to be true from the start...

Keep yr eyes on your email folks...got ANOTHER delay notice and if you don't react to it they will cancel your order. My gosh, maybe if I don't miss a volley in this exchange of delays, they REALLY WILL ship me actual Archives II when it actually exists for slightly more than 10 postpaid!

Don't falter tho guys, keep up the fight! AGREE TO THAT DELAY!! (Now saying "by Sept 17" obviously still a lie.)

I too continue to agree to the Target delay, but I have absolutely zero expectations that I will receive Archives II at that price. My guess is that we will continue to get delay notices until the actual thing is announced and then they will cancel everyone's preorders. But one can still hope!
