Same dates have just gone up on this Italian site. Interestingly they show a different cover (and date) for the Dorothy Chandler LP, and no cover for the Bottom Line one: Young Neil Somewhere Under The Rainbow 1973 CD Young Neil Dorothy Chandler Pavilion 1971 CD Young Neil Dorothy Chandler Pavilion 1971 LP Young Neil Royce Hall 1971 CD Young Neil Citizen Kane Jr. Blues 1974 CD
Dear Neil... move a few years up please. Joking of course. I get it. I just don't know how much more early 70's Neil I need in my collection. I'm jonesin' for some Zuma period stuff.
I think we’ve got early Seventies live Neil pretty well covered. But, every time I think that, he pulls an Ace from his sleeve like Carnegie Hall. Carnegie Hall was such a bolt from the blue it made me wonder what other live shows is he sitting on like this.
I had the same reaction. Didn’t think I needed another early 70’s show, and then Neil drops Carnegie Hall, which is an incredible show.
I'm still going to get them in some form regardless. I just don't know if I can have everything physical at this point. I have to be a little more choosey. Archives II got me thirsty for more from the Zuma period.
I can't claim to be a major fan of Neil's ( just his 60's and 70's work as well as some of these live albums), but I have to admit being a little disappointed that the 1970 Fillmore East release didn't include the whole concert. I wouldn't mind it if the full version or an equivalent concert from that period was released.
I agree! I often play his solo live acoustic tunes and then the electric set with the Horse and toss in a Cinnamon Girl to get a full show of that era.

Carnegie Hall is arguably Neil's best live album. In fact it might be the best album he ever did. Astonishingly brilliant!!
I cant believe that people are going to waste money on these bootlegs pressed on to vinyl. They are basically an MP3 on vinyl. I am not trying to flame things but i just can't believe how much money people waste these days.
Another thing to note: looks like Neil/Reprise have finally relented when it comes to releasing all formats of a release at the same time, as the vinyl and CD versions have different release dates: "All three Neil Young live albums are out 5/6 on Shakey Pictures Records, with vinyl editions coming 6/3."
what we really need is an entire album of 'sugar mountain' played at different venues.......he could call it 'sugar mountain".
Aside from Bottom Line these are all sourced from Neils multitracks so infinitely better than what has circulated previously
Is Carnegie Hall out of print already? Not in stock at Amazon, Music Direct, Acoustic Sounds, Bullmoose, Target, etc.
One question for Neil experts: Did the rap about the cigarette verse being "one of the lamest verses I ever wrote" occur only at the Chandler, or was that part of his standard performance of the song?
