I assume you're talking about the vinyl? The CD was still in stock at Amazon. Thankfully, because I didn't have it yet. (Just bought it.)
i dont get this why buy bootlegs that you already have? neil is probably going to edit them and take some stuff out, and his source tape will likely be the same one you already have.
Nobody has either Dorothy Chandler or Royce Hall. They’re previously uncirculated sources, I don’t think Royce Hall has circulated at all (I might be wrong but it’s certainly not common if so) and Dorothy Chandler only exists as an edited audience recording version lifted from a vinyl source.
1) Not all of these are previously booted. 2) In most cases Neil has a soundboard and any existing boot is an audience tape. 3) In the case of audience tape for the Bottom Line Neil has the original tape 4) Neil has an incredible track record in terms of the sound quality of his releases. Other than that, sure, that old audience boot mastered by some bootleg dude is better than the soundboard mastered by Neil's team.
yea I dont care about neil solo. Would have hoped for some crazy horse.... However the 1974 show is the only recording of on the beach and ambulance blues. shame its sourced from an audience recording. However i compared revolution blues from the archive to the previous widely circulated bootleg. and i think they did a decent job making it sound more "professional". Ill probably just get this one.
i thought that he was putting out boots that were out there, 'fixing' them and putting them out. i doubt he has the original bottom line tape.
So the Dorothy Chandler will not off the vinyl source, but from a longer aud tape? we know this for a fact?
The Carnegie double CD set is called OBS 1. It’s the first in the official bootleg series. BTW, someone here called Carnegie Hall Neil’s greatest album. That guy is right! No kidding!
Yes! Neil has said, on various posts to NYA, that they acquired the original cassette tape, which is the source of the official release. So, it’s amazing that it was recorded at all. Bottom Line was a one off show.
Yeah, except I never said it was a stereo cassette. Correcting my comment: On the NYA site, on 9/30/2019 Neil posted this comment: “YES we do have it, a direct copy of the audience cassette.” So, it’s a copy of the cassette, not the original, but the copy has been in Neil’s possession for quite a while.
I'm interested in how you might know this. Do you have a source? Or have you spoken to Neil about it?

most of his stuff of late has surely been a very good investment. try to find original album series 5 -8 and 8.5 - 12...................
Very true. If you have capital and business skills, you can make money from music right now. The artists themselves probably don't make much though!
