Correct. He played a white guitar in Words. I know this because I saw the Harvest movie last night and it was awesome.
No, you’re not dreaming. I don’t recall exactly when but he released it a few months ago. It was very low-key affair and if you blinked, you missed it.
I discovered it a while ago, many years after I first bought the album. As a matter of fact it was after I read the credits to this song that I first 'heard' it. It's a very subtle addition to the song, but very valuable. Like on Alabama, most of the time cleverly hidden underneath the guitar, mimicking its notes. Headphones are a really good way to discover things like this, regardless of the mix. Like the mix on some of acoustic stuff of Rust Never Sleeps, when one guitar sounds like two!
New timeline show up now, 5/1/18, with Crazy Horse in Fresno. It's the first CH show with Nils after replacing Poncho.
Hey, so was I! Also front row! I was way over on the left. The NYA concert pre-sale was a really nice perk of the site back when, you know, he did shows.
Any Rust or Patron subscribers here? Does the BBC concert video on NYA sound as bad as on the DVD of the Harvest 50 box (the CD is fine)? Neil Young-Harvest 50th Anniversary Deluxe*
Seems like Early Daze is going to be next release judging by Neil’s letters today. Only one he will confirm as coming. Maybe it’s already being manufactured?
Just got back from Harvest Time. Really fun time! Loved seeing them construct "Words" especially. Also, those 2 instrumental jams... man, would love to get those released in some form. Cool seeing Stray Gators just jam out for a bit.
I wouldn't mind that at all. Though I wonder if maybe he forgot that Ducks and Rainbow are still in the queue. And also, he has stated that Vol3 is "in production".
I really enjoyed the Harvest Time movie last night. Lots of stuff I have not heard I am not sure why it’s not on the anniversary box.
Not sure where else to ask this as the Cellar Door thread is no longer active but this recording is severely off-pitch. Did anyone work out the percentages in Audacity to fix?
It would be nice to see it receive a wider release on one of the major streaming services, so it would at least be easier to watch it on a TV at a decent resolution.
