A similar thing happens with a few other apps for me (including Tidal) but NYA might fix it; it seems that we're in a sort of open Beta period for NYA CarPlay since as far as I can see they haven't announced it yet, so there may be some more changes to how it works in the coming weeks.
Listening to the additional Le Noise tracks. The version of “Sign of Love” with Grohl on drums is fantastic.
I’m sure Briggs would have disagreed but a bunch of the Le Noise sessions tracks have the spook, no question in my mind at least. This pump organ version of You Never Call is a gem.
Lanois is one of the truly great producers, his work is usually amazing. But a decision to leave this song off of Le Noise was wrongheaded and stupid. It makes me think that Lanois doesn’t really “get” Neil Young. What the what the? Sorry “only two acoustic songs on the album” is ludicrous. Thanks for listening. I will now return to my usual activities — which include shouting at a cloud……
You have a perfect right to have an opinion, even though some around here seem to forget that sometimes. I agree with you BTW!
Really not liking the drums on Sign of Love. I think the original with just Neil is much better. Such a great album!
Normally by now, we would've at least had a hint of something although it's a safe bet we'll see at least the Under the Rainbow, the Ducks and Archives III at some point this year. Knowing Neil, they'll be a few left field releases too depending on which way the wind is blowing or when the Moon is full.
It's possible Neil might have an RSD release in the works as well, he has done them in the past like with Roxy, so with no list yet it could be holding back an announcement of a release if he did have one lined up for that. Looks like he is planning a busy release schedule again this year, so it is a bit surprising if he isn't planning a first quarter release of some kind as it will jam up the rest of the year, but many of these projects already have slipped back a year or two, or 20 so nothing is a hard deadline I'm sure.
Probably indeed! He did with Roxy, Homegrown and last year with World Record. He has a few "planned" releases for this year, but no dates so far: - Somewhere Under the Rainbow - Archives Vol. 3 - The Ducks - Original Release Series Volume 5 (Freedom, Ragged Glory, Weld/Arc) - Ragged Glory: Smell the Horse
This is great news. Perhaps this will warm him to touring and he'll go out on the road solo or with some version of Crazy Horse.
Based on this Discogs entry, Somewhere Under the Rainbow has already been made available in some places: Neil Young With The Santa Monica Flyers - Somewhere Under The Rainbow
Reading Uncut, I got the same list with Rainbow sounding most likely 1st out.Fits timeline of 50 yr anniversary of show.
