Same with the Van Morrison's last or old Clapp's Christmas album. I don't want those covers in my house. No way.

I saw his comment but did not read because of the avatar.

You say it like its fact. It's sounds good and different to my ears and that's welcomed. By the way, Neil's not playing open-tuned, four or five string traditional banjo, he's playing a six string banjo tuned and played like a guitar.

Last week, I overheard someone seriously discussing the fact that Neil Young had 'come out' with this album.....

On the archives site, if you select an album you will see all of the songs listed and on the right of each track will be a folder symbol, click that and it will show you when/where it was recorded and who played which instrument.

Worst cover since Stars and Bars; thankfully I don't judge an album by its cover.

I’m sure not going to deny myself quality music simply because the cover art sucks. That’s ridiculous.

Listening to it on vinyl right now and just at the end of side two and...

    I love it!

Stars and Bars art made me think it was another Tonight's the Night. Neil's drunken persona.
    Just a horrible cover.
Judy's art is fine but title and art is a bit weird for Young.
    Linda Ronstadt, circa 1983, sure.

Th cover is one of the better album covers I’ve seen lately. Clever concept, well executed.

Before I saw the cover, I was wondering who Judy was. I'm puzzled why this collection would be dedicated to Ms Garland. Perhaps it's just whimsy?

I'd rather someone just tell me. I know most of the songs, and I doubt there is a Judy cover hiding on there, but maybe so.

I guess this thread has somehow attracted the 'airhead' congregation. Where's that "unwatch thread" button??? :wtf:

I'd rather not have to play a game, and this is a pretty long thread considering it's just one archival release. But I suspect there is no connection so there's not much point in wondering.

Neil tells of an imaginary conversation with J.G.

I have no idea what people are posting about. Neil? Airheads? J.G. and D Hannah?

Perfect ! Thank you so much ! I was getting so much static I wasn't connecting the dots, Neil > JG, etc. While I have a hard time getting why Neil would be referencing Judy G I do admire her and I'm glad she's being thought of in this manner. Again, thank you so much.
