if the DVD stand alone ever comes about I'm in. If Dume ever gets a standalone CD release I'm in. I'll buy the Weld dvd or blu if it ever happens. I do think this box is great for folks that like to collect big boxes. I just don't need redundant material.
Weld DVD will likely only be part of the Deluxe Edition of the reissue at this rate, same for Buffalo 1991.
Wait a second.. So the same people who put a price tag of $100 on the After the Gold Rush 50th anniversary set for 1 LP and 1 7".. ALSO put a price tage of $100 on a box with 4 LPs, 2 CDs and a DVD? !?!?
I guess I just don't understand the strategy of only putting the video in with the vinyl deluxe. Us CD listeners like moving pictures too.
yes! and the same people who were bitching about that being too expensive seem to have a problem with this set too.
Makes way more sense to do standalone vinyl and CD/DVD combo. CD needs more incentive to purchase than vinyl IMO
Still “unavailable” on Amazon U.K. I’m a bit reluctant to order from the Warner’s store... Do Amazon links just randomly appear or are there specific times that they go live?
Add Young Shakespeare, Odeon Budokan and Rusted out Garage to that list. By the way, if I'm to believe Shakey, the entire run at Boarding House 1978 was filmed, I think there is even some footage included in Human Highway.
Listening to boot now and it's so good I don't think I'll need to buy the CD. Plus, I can always just listen to the official release on Spotify.
Didn't Hanlon say that they used the same recording set up as for ragged Glory, ie. "Neil's Sony machines, not the best A>D conversion, but ah well"?
I’ve got a 10% “apology” voucher for the Greedy Hand store but I can’t bring myself to use it as they are just so awful
I think I'll send Neil another "thank you" letter for setting the price of the ATGR 50th anniversary vinyl at $100.
Ordered it even though I have no use for the vinyl. This has been one of my favorite Neil Young shows ever since I got a cassette dub of it back in the summer of 1991.
Uh-oh, guess I'll have to get this since I was at the show. I've never heard a recording of it, but I remember the excitement of it. One of a number of last-minute shows he did in the Santa Cruz area.
The strategy is to make you fork over the bucks for vinyl you don't want or need. You know, Neil's hippie values.
