Yikes. What a terrible poster. Makes it look as if DeNiro is wincing in pain from arthritis as he tries to pull the trigger.

This film should have been made decades ago.

According to insiders, expect it for a limited (like two weeks) theatrical release in October, then onto Netflix thereafter...

Big studios didn’t want to touch it. Hence Netflix doing it.

I don't begrudge the long time it'd take to perfect the de-aging process. If done badly, it'll be jarring, unintentionally funny, and will take the viewer out of the story. To do it well takes forever.

Didn't watch the movie but saw clips of Carrie Fisher appearing in one of the latest Star Wars movie and it was painfully obvious it was fake. Same with a lot of other examples. However, Michael Douglas' scene in Ant-Man was quite convincing. Eerily cool to see fake vintage MD onscreen in new material.

De Niro top billing. Believe he’s one of the producers.

Al Pacino got top billing in HEAT, or at least prominent top left.

No Joe Piscipo in it?? Pass.

But really if the reviews are good I'll watch - but it looks like a rehash of about 7 other Scorsese films, but this time with much older actors.

Marlon Brando was 48 in the Godfather, De Niro is 75 (playing Frank Sheeran who was 52), Pacino is 79 (playing Jimmy Hoffa who was 62) and Pesci is 76 (playing someone roughly in their 70s, so better), Harvey Kieteal is 80 playing a 60 year old

Unless this story is told mainly in flashback (flashback from Hoffa??) and they de-age people like CRAZY it just seems like the cast is too old for the material.

Note:Sam Jackon in captain Marvel de-aging looked fine - but when he ahd to move he moved like a much older person than we saw on screen.

I really don't see why the actors' age matters. At any rate, I'm all in for one last joint with my heroes. *shrug*

Shooting wrapped last March (2018), and according to Martin Scorsese in a recent interview, he's locked the final cut but they're STILL working on the visual effects work, such is the scale of the piece and Marty's own perfectionism in making the age differences appear absolutely and completely seamless onscreen.

Pretty soon they will be able to make new movies with people who aren’t even alive anymore...
    That said, looks pretty good.

I always like Scorsese's use of music in trailers and movies. That said, I wasn't exactly bowled over by this trailer.

Hopefully, it'll be better than what it looks like. The anti-aging wasn't on display long enough to judge it accurately but DeNiro's eyes at the end of the trailer look too fake and glossy, IMHO.

It looked good-until Deniro at the end. That didn't look natural at all.

Has anyone read "I Heard You Paint Houses"?

I have not, but I do recall when it came that the FBI took it seriously enough to re-open the case and tear apart some properties looking for evidence of the whereabouts of Hoffa. This film has been on my radar for several years now. Feels like it has been in production (or pre-production) for 3+ years.

    Hopefully it'll be good.
